The company was established in 1973 by Mineo Yamaguchi as a plant pot manufacturing plant in Komono-cho, Mie Prefecture, a Banko-yaki production area. Since then, the company has been manufacturing Western tableware, Japanese tableware and heat-resistant ceramics according to the trends of the times. The company now has its own original brand, Kamoshika Tool Shop, which is sold at its physical shop in Komono-cho and at its directly managed online shop.
